Traditional Wax

Traditional Wax has a rich heritage. J Herbin Wax has been Made in France since 1670 and was the sealing wax of choice for the Royal Courts of all Europe. Naploean Bonaparte used J Herbin Wax to seal his documents and carry his emblem all over his Empire!

Traditional Wax is Tamper Proof and was. for centuries, the original and only source of document security. Our Traditional Wax is thus brittle. This means that it breaks very easily...that way, you know if your documents or parcel have been tampered with!

This also means that it is not suitable for sending through the postage system on the back of an envelope. Even a finished seal inside an envelope is likely to chip or break.

It is highly recommended for certificates, cases where tamper proofing is required or for any other traditional use of sealing wax.
